The beautiful and peaceful Edith Falls near Katherine

The beautiful and peaceful Edith Falls near Katherine

I visited Darwin over a year ago and spent 4 fabulous days traveling in a loop from Darwin through Kakadu including serene Yellow Water, through Katherine Gorge and back to Darwin. The whole area is so diverse, scenic and spectacular.

Outside of Kakadu, my favorite areas were Fogg Dam at sunrise, Adelaide River with its infamous jumping crocs and Edith Falls near Katherine which is so lush, green, peaceful, and a perfect recreation spot. I plan to go back and spend a lot more time visiting areas I wished I had more time to see. Luckily my sister lives in Darwin so frequent trips to the area will be a reality!

Lucky indeed :-).

I am glad you will soon have another chance to explore the area. There is so much to see and do and discover. And if someone can appreciate it the way you obviously do, then 4 days is certainly nowhere near enough.

By the way, that's a lovely picture of Edith Falls. Thanks for sharing it!
